Since I have been confined to the couch with the ankle sprain, I have observed the following (in random order):
Daytime television is terrible. Even with over 100 channels to choose from, there is nothing decent on during the day.
Disney and Miley Cyrus are naive at best and dishonest at worst. Annie Leibovitz is known for her creative portraits and she was never going to photograph Miley wearing her Mickey Mouse ears. Everyone saw those photos at the shoot and agreed to them. To now say that Miley was manipulated seems duplicitous. Get a grip, Disney, and at least be honest about what happened. Vanity Fair must be thrilled, though, as I imagine this issue will exceed sales expectations.
Between fuel and food prices, even families who thought they could weather this financial storm are going to find themselves in trouble. The economic stimulus package is not going to make a dent and neither is the blame shifting between the legislative and executive branches of the government. Stop the finger pointing and start focusing that energy on finding some reasonable answers to the growing crisis.
Who cares why Paula Abdul messed up on AI this week? I do not watch the show and don’t care why she got confused. Welcome to live television.
I think that covers it for this morning. I am sure another day on the couch will lead to a whole new rant tomorrow.
